Thursday, Day 4
You guessed it. We started the day with more hiking! Woke up semi early (relative to the rest of the trip) and headed down to the Beehive Trail. Mike's girlfriend was the one who suggested we check this one out. Needless to say, we cursed her the entire time. This trail is 0.8 miles long, but it takes you up 520 feet. There are iron rungs inserted into the rock to assist in the climb up (and to give you something to hold onto so you don't fall off the ledge). I made it close to the top when I completely froze and decided it was time to head back down. When I was able to manage the shaking, I started going down only to find out it was a one way trail. A super nice man was helping my mom up (she freaked out wayyy before me) and provided enough encouragement to get us to the top.
Upon successfully making it back to earth, we...as my mom put it...pooped on the beach. It sucked. A seagull ate half my sandwich, right out of my hand, and I got super sun burned. But then we went back to town and checked out the brewery. Got to taste their beers and wines. But then we went on a 2 hour boat tour. It sucked. I hate boats with a burning passion. More like a nauseating passion, but whatever.
All in all, I ended the day feeling quite accomplished. And that's really all that matters.
Pics!
